As of May 2nd 2024 we are open for our 15th season! Our hours are Thursday to Sunday, open at noon each day. Closing times will vary throughout the summer, but at present, we close at 7pm. Please note that we usually open on Wednesdays and extend our hours later in the season. We will update you as soon as we can.

Our services will include dine-in, patio and take-out. We will also offer a menu for the Sober Island Brewing Company Beer Garden and taproom.

Thursday from 7-9pm is Trivia in the taproom. Always a lot of fun, but not easy!

We offer daily specials. Our Welsh Afternoon Tea is available each day from 2-4pm and reservations for this are highly recommended.

The Henley House Pub and Restaurant sits along the beautiful Eastern Shore, offering delightful bites and fun-filled nights to locals and travelers alike. With fresh seafood, an attached craft brewery, and over one hundred years of history, this is a family-run pub and restaurant experience to add to your road trip!

Very good service, good, and pretty view I had the pesto roasted vegetable sandwich and it was amazing. My husband had the green salad. Very tasty and the staff was friendly and pleasant.

A piece of "home", in Nova Scotia. Two words - WELSH CAKES! I'm a Welshman who has lived in Nova Scotia for 12 years, and rarely gets to sample the culture of home, let alone meet another Welsh person.This weekend we visited The Henley House, first for their amazing Welsh afternoon tea, and secondly for dinner.It was great to meet Meryl (her and I grew up 20 miles apart in Wales) and her husband, and be able to talk about all of the places back "home", even drawing some parallels between relatives who had worked in the same places.The afternoon tea was spectacular. Welsh cakes that tasted like my mother's back home, delicious sandwiches, and tea served from crockery with daffodils on it.Dinner was equally tasty - and as Brit I couldn't not try the fish and chips. 10/10!So nice to be able to meet a fellow countryperson, and wander around looking at the Welsh memorabilia scattered around the pub.This is such a gem. We'll be back. Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Good not great We had a group of 10 for a celebration and a reservation atmosphere was great but alot of the items were not in stock I wanted fish cakes there were none so I had fish and chips I've had better some of the deserts were not available our waitress was great though a little rushed would I recommend probably would I go again probably we shall see

Great lunch! My husband and I enjoyed lunch here in August 2021 while exploring the Eastern Shore area. There's a nice patio but we opted to sit in as it was chilly. I had the roasted veggie pesto sandwich on a ciabatta bun, my husband had a chicken club. The side salads were fresh, tasty and generous as were the sandwiches. We were delighted with the complementary biscuits that arrived in a paper bag shortly after being seated. They come with a little tub of molasses-beer-butter spread--different and delicious! The ale is from the Sober Island brewery next door (next stop for us!).

Amazing meal Went for lunch on a Sunday,sat outside on the deck.First time here,will not be the last. My husband had the pan fried Haddock and said it was cooked to perfection and large portion size.I had the chicken club sandwich that has also on it,bacon and tomato...excellent!I had the side caesar.salaf..omg...best caesar salad in a very long time..stupendous!Our waiter was a nice young man,friendly and efficient!Cannot wait to go back...we will do the 1 hour drive...this place is that good!!!

Terrific service and great food Decided to break out of the COVID stay-home and travel a couple of hours to a recommended pub - and it was well worth it! All safety protocols in place and staff and patrons alike adhere to the facemasks/distancing/sanitizing rules. Made for a comfortable atmosphere for our supper. The seafood linguine and lobster roll choices were perfect! And the locally made Sober Island Brews were perfect matches to the meal! Will recommend this to friends.

Busy and good food Very busy for a lunch hour but service was ok and food great. They have gluten-free options and a smaller menu likely due to the pandemic. Some items like sweet potato fries overpriced. Biscuits arrived with odd beer molasses butter. Ok but would be nice to have regular butter as well. Garden salad excellent. They are trying to cope with the new restrictions. Have seen better and worse. Would go back.

Lunch stop with a view Quick stop on our drive back to Halifax. Great views from the patio. Terrific beer selection. Food was good. Great stop.

great We stopped of here for a light lunch and the very nice waitress recommended the chowder and by gosh she was right--it was delicious . Nice decor and friendly.recommended

Lobster poutine Lobster poutine ...need I say more? Food was great! Scallop fettucini , seafood chowder, and regular ol' fish and chips were all very tasty. Atmosphere cozy and service very attentive ...they even offer to take pics for you and your posse
